Meet The Doctor
Irwin Jerome Wedner, DDS
Dr. Wedner is a specialist in Periodontics. He was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Dr. Wedner completed his undergraduate work at the University of Pittsburgh and received his Doctor of Dental Science degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in 1965. After serving in the U.S. Air Force, Dr. Wedner returned to Pittsburgh and taught Restorative Dentistry at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. In 1969, he and his family moved to California where he practiced general dentistry in Orange County. In 1971 he attended Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery, where he received his post-graduate degree and Certificate of Specialization in Periodontics in 1973.
During his past three decades of practice in Fullerton, Dr. Wedner has expanded his expertise by hosting an implant and treatment planning study club and participating in study groups with local dentists. He also attends continuing education seminars to keep his periodontal skills current. In addition, he has been a member of the Osseo-Integration Study Club for over 20 years.
Dr. Wedner is the Past President of the California Society of Periodontists and a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the Western Society of Periodontology, the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the Orange County Dental Society and the Pierre Fauchard Academy.
